IDENTIFYING THE VALUE OF BCI
In the vast field of neuropsychiatry, we want we to identify realms in which current therapies are lacking, and where BCI interventions could be of value as an alternative or supplement to existing interventions.
Working with various industry partners, we want to build and evaluate the efficacy of diverse BCI-based interventions, be it software and/or hardware interfaces, that can be of benefit to those with certain neuropsychiatric conditions.

Study purpose: Evaluate a neuro-technological intervention in the treatment of anxiety in young adults. Our technology will deliver a mindfulness-based anxiety regulation intervention through a neuro-/ bio-feedback-based game interface.
Eligible participants: 21-35 years old, Beck Anxiety Inventory II total score ≥16, literate in English, computer literate and owns a Windows 10 computer
During the study: You will wear a mobile EEG headset, play some games and practice anxiety regulation strategies for 30mins a session, 4 sessions a week, for a total of 2 weeks. These sessions will be conducted independently in your own home, but you will need to attend 3 in-person sessions at Duke-NUS Medical School. The entire duration of this study is 7 weeks, and this study does not involve any invasive procedures.
